Discover the importance of the vedic lifestyle and diet
and how to eat well for your body type.


In Vedic tradition great importance is given to food, cooking and digestion to prevent disease and maintain good physical, mental and spiritual health. It is a fact that the more food you cook yourself, the more control you have over your own health and well being and that of your loved ones. Beyond the nutritional considerations, there is the understanding that the consciousness of the person preparing food has direct influence on those partaking in the meal.


The cooking course will cover:
An introduction to Ayurveda and body types
Cooking demonstration and meals by Vedic chef Sruti
practical tips on Ayurvedic lifestyle and nutrition
Proper use of spices and preparation of rice, dal, vegetables,
chutneys, pakora, halava, etc.
spiritual perspective on cooking and food


The course is for 5 weeks. Each weekly cooking class will be 2.5 hours followed by shared dinner. Classes will be small so everyone gets personal attention. Chef Sruti has 20 years experience in health food and Ayurveda and is passionate about teaching. Please book in advance.

We will be providing everything needed; please bring a notebook if you plan on taking notes.
